Multidisciplinary Tumour Boards

Every case is reviewed by a tumour board — oncologist, surgeon, radiologist, pathologist, and radiation oncologist — to deliver a personalised, evidence-based treatment plan.

Access to Latest Drugs & Protocols

India's leading cancer centres access the same FDA and EMA approved targeted drugs and immunotherapy agents as Western hospitals — often at one-fifth the price.

Second Opinion Before You Commit

We arrange a remote second opinion from our partner oncologist within 48 hours — reviewing your biopsy, imaging, and prior treatment history before you make any decisions.

No Waiting Lists for Treatment

For cancer patients, time is critical. Our partner hospitals offer fast-track admissions — most patients begin their treatment within 5–10 days of arriving in India.

FAQ

Common questions about cancer treatment in India

Answers to the questions families ask most when considering oncology treatment in India.

Ask Us Anything
Can I bring my existing biopsy and imaging reports from my home country?
Yes, absolutely. Our partner oncologists will review your existing biopsy slides, pathology reports, PET-CT or MRI scans, and prior treatment records. In many cases this means some tests do not need to be repeated, saving time and cost. We may recommend a few confirmatory tests on arrival if the existing reports are insufficient for treatment planning.
Is chemotherapy with the same drugs available in India as in Western countries?
Yes. India's leading cancer centres have access to all major FDA and EMA approved chemotherapy agents, targeted therapies (Herceptin, Trastuzumab, Bevacizumab, Osimertinib, etc.), and immunotherapy drugs (Pembrolizumab, Nivolumab, Atezolizumab) — usually at a significantly lower cost than in the West due to generic drug manufacturing.
How long will I need to stay in India for cancer treatment?
It depends on the treatment. A surgical oncology procedure typically requires 15–21 days (including pre-op diagnostics and post-op recovery). A bone marrow transplant requires 60–90 days stay in India. Chemotherapy is often planned as repeated cycles — many patients stay for the first 2–3 cycles and return for subsequent cycles, or manage remote monitoring of later cycles from home.
Can Espoir Health arrange treatment for advanced or stage IV cancer?
Yes. Our partner hospitals treat all stages including stage III and stage IV cancers. Advanced cancer is reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the tumour board, and a realistic treatment plan — which may include palliative chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, or symptom management — is provided. We are always transparent about prognosis and treatment goals.
Is it safe for a cancer patient to fly internationally for treatment?
For most cancer patients, international travel is feasible and safe with appropriate precautions. Our oncology partner will advise on fitness-to-fly based on your specific diagnosis and current condition. For patients requiring urgent treatment, we facilitate expedited medical visas, typically approved within 3–5 days. Immuno-compromised patients (e.g., post-chemotherapy) may need enhanced travel protocols which we coordinate.
Does Espoir Health charge any fee for cancer case review?
No. The initial case review, oncologist second opinion, treatment recommendation, and cost estimate are all completely free of charge. Espoir Health's coordination fees are incorporated into the hospital package and fully disclosed before you travel — with no surprises.
